| In 1863 John B. Wallace (husband to Mary B. Wallace 17 yrs old at the time) died. Leaving her with a large debt, she was required to sell all that she had. Link to probate and dissolving of estate. |
One theory is that in the 1980 census, Sally Wallace has married Edward Reaves, and her sister Maggie goes to live with her. Maggie is listed as a 9 yr old niece on the census. No other hard evidence can be found of the family in the 1880 census.

It is not clear if what follows is the same Wallace family above or is a different one. It is possible that M.B. died and he married another Mary who would be 17 at the time. For the ages to work, the census would have had to be done in 1855. Possible do to delay of war ???
