New Year and Beyond

Back Up Next

In January, we were scheduled to go back to the boat and continue the adventure, however a drawn-out bout with the stomach flu kept us at home. Well, the stomach flu brought us a blessing... more time with family!

Robert got to spend time with his cousins at Audrey's birthday party and frequent play dates during the week. We also spent a lot of time at Margo's house playing with all of her "grandkid" toys and talking with Julie about her wedding plans!

In January, Kay attended a conference in St. Louis. Mark and Amy had planned to leave just before the conference, but when they found out Kay would be just across the state, they cancelled their plans yet again and got in the car to drive east on I-70.

Robert was very excited to see his grandmother. So excited, in fact, he insisted on staying up late each night to spend time with her!

While Kay was in meetings during the day, Mark, Amy and Robert visited the St. Louis Zoo. Robert now proudly points to himself when anyone talks about a zoo animal. He is letting us know that HE has seen the animals!
